Cameraless Gestures - Pop-Up Exhibition at Veronique Wantz Gallery
Frank Lopez and R.J. Kern are excited to share a ONE-NIGHT pop-up exhibition entitled Cameraless Gestures at the Veronique Wantz Gallery in Minneapolis, MN.
WHO: Frank Lopez and R.J. Kern and guests.
WHAT: Rooted in cameraless image-making, the works in this one-night exhibition explore gesture, chemistry, time, and material transformation utilizing the Chromo Gelatin Silver Process.
WHEN: July 23, 2026. A reception with the artists runs 4-7 pm.
WHY: R.J. and I share a creative connection through the chemigram process, and I taught R.J. the Chromo Process as part of my studio practice. R.J. will present selections from the recent series Magnetic: Fields, while I will also share work from my ongoing projects: Emanations and They Tried to Bury Us, but They Didn’t Know We are Seeds.
Together, the exhibition offers a focused look at two distinct but interconnected approaches to photographic abstraction and experimentation.

The exhibition highlights the use of gelatin silver chromo/chemigram process with approximately 20 works on view and offered for sale.
