The Latino Cultural Center of Dallas invited 7 Latinx artists from North Texas to interpret the newest addition to Dallas, the Santiago Calatrava designed Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. White Steel, Blue Skies: A New Icon for Dallas' Skyline opened in January of 2012 and presented here are the tintypes I created for the exhibition. Additional interpretations of the Margaret McDermott Bridge, another Santiago Calatrava bridge, are presented as a unifying element. The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge unified a disparate area of Dallas and helped generate a community revival of the West Dallas. Limited edition archival pigment prints are available for purchase.
